THE TIME SERIES recounts the exploits of the Murry children, whose parents are brilliant, albeit eccentric, scientists. The children manage to get into fantastical situations and experience otherworldly adventures. Though each adventure takes place in a different space or time, the common themes of love, science, and discovery run throughout each book in the series.
The cover illustrations each reflect an aspect of the individual plots, as well as a sense of unity and harmony in order to speak to these consistent themes. The style is art deco modernism, which plays off hope for the future, and thus ties well with the message of the books. The new artwork will attract adult and young readers alike as it focuses on universal messaging and not specific age-bracketed ploys.
